Project two · First draft, all ten rounds

The Fourth Generation

It has fallen on you.

Four generations of one continent, told like a family. The ones who won it. The ones who spent it. The ones who are cleaning up. And the fourth, the largest and youngest generation in human history, which has already inherited the continent and must now decide what kind of leader it will be. Ten rounds between Africa and the Heir, a twenty-five-year-old who has never seen a leader worth following and asks why he should bother.

Generations are a lens, not a verdict. Every name in these rounds is judged by what that person did, with the source beside it. Where a key stopped working, the round says so.

First · 1957–1975

The ones who won it

Fifty-four flags, borders they did not draw, the dream of unity, and in most countries the one-party state.
Second · 1965–1995

The ones who spent it

Coups, debt, capital flight, the lost decades. The inheritance sold raw, the money sent abroad.
Third · 1994–today

The ones who are cleaning up

Child deaths halved, wars fewer, elections real in forty countries, and term limits melted in a dozen.
Fourth · now

The ones who must lead

Six in ten Africans under twenty-five. The task: a second key on every door, so no one can become the One again.

Published as a first draft: the ten rounds are complete, and every figure in them is being checked a second time at its source; any figure that cannot be confirmed will be removed and the removal logged. The book, 95 pages with both projects, and the 2-hour audiobook are available by WhatsApp. How the rounds are written and checked, and the full reference list: Method and sources.
